Why did your Autistic Child choose you to be his/her parents?
“You can’t choose your family” is a bygone saying. I was also in belief of such a saying. But after our son entered into our lives, my thoughts and beliefs regarding this shifted. I am now strongly convinced, that he had very lovingly and consciously hand-picked us to be his parents. But why do I say so? Read on.....
Autistic souls are the new phase of evolution. They are nothing but “LOVE” personified. Their heart space is so expansive, that it can never go unnoticed. Let me explain it in layman’s terms with a few simple examples.
You would always find autistic children being so close to nature. They can sit in the stillness of nature literally for hours talking in their own language to mother earth and mother nature. Language here, could mean smiles, laughter, singing, dancing, blabbering or even being mute! When these children intuitively sense that nature is being destroyed by mankind, they become so uncomfortable and their moods change.
Every family has arguments and quarrels. If you observe closely, these autistic children would never want their parents, or even anybody around them for that matter to quarrel or to raise their voices in anger or temper. They will either close their ears, start crying, seclude themselves, or even hurt themselves. No parent would want to see their child like that. So automatically the parents start to change the way they handle quarrels and arguments. And over time, we start introspecting ourselves if those quarrels were really worth all the tears, frustration and hurt. To some people, handling such emotions in a more matured manner comes naturally. But for many others, it comes through their children. And I, am one among them. It came to me through my son. That’s why He is always my “Mentor and Guru”. These autistic children will keep striving in their own ways and methodologies to keep changing us for the better and the better till we become our best.
Many, in fact most autistic children have dietary restrictions due to their sensitivity to certain foods. It’s their way of teaching their families to eat healthy and eat consciously.
I have only highlighted a few examples here. We as parents, need to constantly upgrade ourselves by doing our homework, in identifying these cues and incorporating them into our daily lives. These are very very simple things but they can have a huge positive impact on our lives. Starting with simple changes can lead to much bigger changes. It will slowly start elevating your consciousness by leaps and bounds. I would rather want each one of you to experience that shift, yourselves, rather than me hand-holding you and spoiling your personal experience. When one family starts making these shifts, it would have a ripple effect throughout the planet. In fact we are all light workers, who chose to be here on planet earth at this time, to take part in the grand cosmic shift.
So finally back to “Why our son chose us?”
The simple answer to that is: “To launch LOTUSTIC FOUNDATION”, to spread love and light; to be a beacon of hope and support. It took years of learning and understanding for me to get to this. And I will always be learning from him, to see what more, what more and what more he has to offer and teach me.
If I had the humble wisdom to tap into my son’s teachings, each one of you have it too. And when we all collectively do it, the planet will be immersed in more Love, Light and Enlightenment.
